Building a 5-Foot Rail Fence
The HighPlains ranch rail fencing system features uniquely designed 'all-in-one' contemporary extruded aluminum metal fence posts suitable for constructing fences in both 4-foot and 5-foot heights. The standard HighPlains rail fence kit includes: universal posts shaped like an 'H', special 90-degree corner posts, end caps and post caps. When building a post and rail fence, it is recommended to space fence posts 8 feet on center.
Combining the HighPlains metal fence post with rough cut cedar creates an excellent pairing. Metal components are powder coated for durability. Combined with black chain link fencing, this rail fence is a popular selection for a child and pet-friendly yard fence.
