Building a 5-Foot Rail Fence

The HighPlains ranch rail fence system includes specially designed 'all-in-one' modern extruded aluminum metal fence posts designed to build fences in 4-foot and 5-foot heights. Included in the standard HighPlains rail fence kit are universal posts in an 'H' shape, special 90-degree corner posts, end caps, and post caps. When building a post and rail fence, it is recommended to space fence posts 8 feet on center.

The HighPlains metal fence post combined with rough cut cedar makes a great combination. Metal fence component parts are powder coated for durability. Combined with black chain link fencing, this rail fence is a popular selection for a child and pet-friendly yard fence.
